My Ph.D. dissertation research focused on the volcanic rocks in the western Cascade Range in Central Oregon. Recent work has included petrologic studies related to the explosive basaltic volcanism that resulted from the mixing of magma and water in the Phio-Pleistocene Lake Idaho.
