DR. CRAIG M. WHITE, Professor of Geosciences, Boise State University, Boise, Idaho Department of Geosciences, Boise State University, Idaho. Currently a professor. Primary interest is in the field of igneous petrology and volcanology. My master’s thesis research was in Antarctica where I was part of the last multi-disciplinary reconnaissance expedition to explore a previously unvisited part of the continent. My Ph.D. dissertation research focused on the volcanic rocks in the western Cascade Range in Central Oregon. Recent work has included petrologic studies related to the explosive basaltic volcanism that resulted from the mixing of magma and water in the Phio-Pleistocene Lake Idaho.
